UUC Trunk or Treat

Saturday, October 31, from 1-2 p.m. in the UUC parking lot

Back of a car open and showing decorations inside: string of lights and glowing ghosts and pumpkins and "tombstone" reading "Trick or Treat"

A socially-distanced Halloween event for the UUC community! Park your car, decorate your trunk for Halloween, and have treats in individual bags for trick-or-treaters to pick up. Costumed kids, families, and Halloween aficionados gather treats and enjoy the displays in socially-distanced groups with masks on.

Anyone interested in decorating their trunk and providing treats must sign up with Melody Moberg by October 28, at melody.moberg@uuchurch.org. We are limited by space to 20 cars. The parking lot will be reserved for the event, so participants who are not also decorating their cars should plan using street parking.  Trick-or-treaters do not need to sign up ahead of time.

All treats should be in individually wrapped goodie bags, so they can be lined up for Trunk-Or-Treaters to grab, while continuing social distance, per CDC guidelines.  Any treats (baked or bought) containing peanuts should be labeled, and if you bake something that is gluten free or dairy free, please label it so kids with allergies can enjoy.

All participants must wear masks appropriate for preventing the spread of Covid-19 and maintain at least 6 feet between family units. There will be a pre-planned Trunk-or-Treating route through the parking lot and folks can expect a clear entrance and exit. For the purposes of maintaining best safety practices, Trunk-or-Treating will end promptly at 2:00 p.m.

The event will happen rain or shine, and is intended for the UUC community rather than the wider neighborhood.
