UUC Connect - Directory

UUC’s new member portal UUC Connect has a powerful feature for making a directory of adult church members available to all other church members, taking over from where printed directories of member names, addresses, and telephone numbers left off. Better than the old print directories, this online directory allows you to control what contact information others using UUC Connect are able to see (allowing you to leave your home address, telephone number, or email address “unlisted,” if that is your preference).

To populate the church directory with all adult members, the church office “turned on” the listings for all member records available in the database on Friday, January 24. You may have received an email notification from UUC Connect with the subject “Privacy Change Notification” describing the settings that were changed by the church office.

IMPORTANT: In this privacy notification email, the email churchoffice@uuchurch.org is shown as the address to contact with questions. Unfortunately, we are experiencing technical problems with this email address that result in contacts being returned as undeliverable. We apologize for this inconvenience, and ask that individuals with questions about the UUC Connect Directory or their notification email contact office@uuchurch.org instead.

UUC Connect - Manage Privacy

To see the directory, simply log in to UUC Connect at https://onrealm.org/uuchurch (or select UUC Connect at the bottom left of the church website) and click “Directory” in the list on the left side of the site. If you wish to modify your privacy options further, click the arrow next to your name in the upper-right corner of the site and select “Manage Privacy.” This displays the page where you can review your privacy settings. You can select one of the global options (anyone, my groups, group leaders, or staff only) to apply to all your personal data in the directory, or you can choose “Custom Privacy” and set one of those four options for each part of your contact data. For example, you could set your home address to be listed for staff only, but your phone and email for everyone. Note at this time that the only personal data displayed in the directory is the month and day of your birth date (not the year), if your birth date is on record.
