Election Events at UUC

Person inserting their ballot into a King County ballot drop box

In this election season of high stress and high stakes, it’s time to connect in community to reground, reflect, and release. Join UUC’s ministers, staff, and community members in connecting over Zoom both before and after the election so that together we may awaken spirit, nurture hope, and inspire action.

Sunday, November 1, 10:30 – 11:15 a.m: Coffee Hour Small Group Conversations via Zoom

Join with other UUC members for conversation and connection following worship. Join a conversation reflecting on the service, a break-out group with UU the Vote, or deep check-ins.

Sunday, November 1, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m: All Ages UUC Dance Party! (via Zoom)

Nothing quite moves stress through the body quite like dancing. Come join over Zoom for an hour of all ages dance music in an inclusive, non-judgmental, and joyful space! More on how movement completes the stress cycle here: https://brenebrown.com/podcast/brene-with-emily-and-amelia-nagoski-on-burnout-and-how-to-complete-the-stress-cycle/

Monday, November 2, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m: Open Sing with the IGC via Zoom

Come sing songs familiar and new with members of the Intergenerational Choir at this Open Sing. Go into election day, lifted up by breath, song, and community!

Tuesday, November 3, 7:00 am – 7:00 p.m: Spiritual Grounding on Election Day via Zoom

UU Ministers from across the country are offering a space for respite, positive energy, peace, and spiritual practice on Election Day. This drop-in space will be led by rotating ministers throughout the day for people to pause, breathe, and connect when they need it. More info at https://www.facebook.com/events/728150507736666.

Wednesday, November 4, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m: Post-Election Vespers via Zoom

Revs. Jon and Beth will be holding a special post-election vespers service. We will gather, addressing whatever is at hand. We will sing, light candles of joys and sorrows, share reflection, and, most importantly, be together in these pivotal times.
