With signs that the economic recovery is faltering, the federal government is unable to agree on measures to extend economic stimulus, and Washington state faces an $8.8 billion budget shortfall. The stock markets have largely recovered, but the real economy has not. The expiration of economic stimulus measures is likely to hasten many more job losses and evictions. Many of us and our neighbors are already in great need. How best can we respond? We’ll discuss plans for our involvement with Habitat for Humanity and Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness.
