“Decolonizing Wealth” Conversation
Tuesday, September 15, 7 p.m.
What if money could be used to connect, heal, and restore?
Edgar Villanueva, expert on social justice philanthropy and board chair of Native Americans in Philanthropy, has written an eye-opening book on this topic called Decolonizing Wealth: Indigenous Wisdom to Heal Divides and Restore Balance.
We’ll discuss the concepts in the book and how they apply to our own lives and the life of UUC in a facilitated conversation on Tuesday, September 15, at 7 p.m. If you’d like to be part of the conversation, please register here to help our planning. Please read as much as you can before the meeting to make the most of this gathering. If the date isn’t good for you, register anyway, and let us know as part of the registration process – if there’s enough interest, we may be able to offer another conversation. And, if the cost of the book presents a barrier to your participation, please indicate that on your registration form so we may assist.
This event is co-sponsored by UUC’s Stewardship, Equity, and Social Justice teams and will be facilitated by Carolyn Cunningham and Susan Howlett.
