April RE Offerings

Religious Education at University Unitarian Church is offering diverse opportunities for connection, worship and spirituality over Zoom for children, teens and parents. Here are weekly opportunities for engagement from your religious education staff. We cannot post the Zoom links on our website for security reasons, but if you want to participate, please contact Melody Moberg or Aria Curtis for the links.

Children’s Chapel: Sunday mornings, 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Children and parents gather with religious education staff for worship, connection and centering.

Youth Chapel: Sunday evenings, 5:00 – 5:45 p.m.

Teens and tweens, from 6th-12th grade, gather with religious education staff for worship, connection and centering.

Afternoon Movement for Children: Monday Afternoons, 1:00 – 1:30 p.m.

Sometimes silly and energetic, sometimes more slow and thoughtful. We will take a few moments to get centered in our body and to move in ways which help us let go of anxiety and pent up energy.

Meditation Moment for Children: Tuesday Mornings, 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Shared, guided meditation will help us calm our minds and spirits, to feel grounded, and to make sense of what’s happening around us.

Special Activity for Families: Wednesday Mornings, 13:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Each week, Melody and Aria will lead a special, fun activity which families can participate in from home. We’ll start on April 8th with some fun Easter preparation, and continue throughout the month with activities like Chalice and Altar Making tutorials.

Parent Check-In: Thursday evenings, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.

UUC Parents are invited to this low-key, opportunity to see and hear one another, to commiserate, and share with one another. Feel free to come in your comfy clothes or pajamas, and to bring your tea, wine, or other evening beverage. We’ll start our time with a chalice lighting, and then check in about the things that are bringing us joy and what we’re struggling with.

For information about how to participate in these activities, please contact Melody Moberg or Aria Curtis.
