Anti-Racism Parent Book Group
1st & 3rd Sundays beginning September 20, 8-9:30 p.m.
UUC is starting an anti-racism parent book group. We will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, beginning on September 20, 8:00-9:30 p.m. via Zoom. In this covenantal book group, we will explore together what it means to raise children through an anti-racist lens. We’ll use a small group ministry format to explore race and parenting through discussion, personal reflection, and resilience-nurturing spiritual practice. Parents will get the chance to share with one another their “what if…?” and “what do I do when…?” questions and find support in both the joys and challenges. We’ll start by reading So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo.
