An Introduction to Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur
Friday, September 25, 7-8 p.m. via Zoom
Join us for an introduction to the Jewish holidays Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur! We’ll learn a little bit about the significance of these holidays in the Jewish tradition, how they’re celebrated, and listen to a little bit of the important music associated with the Jewish New Year. Participants will also get a chance to reflect on their year so far and experience a food meditation. UUC members of all ages are invited to learn together. For more information, contact Aria Curtis.
About once a month, in hour-long sessions, families are invited to learn together about the world’s religions and traditions through the lens of holidays. Participants will explore the common values and questions present in religious traditions from around the world. These specially scheduled events are open to UUC members of all ages and center the learning and experience of children and youth. Visit our RE Programs for Children and Youth page (and scroll to the bottom) to see the list of other holidays.
