Active Hope: Zen Book Study

Starting Tuesday, May 26
UUC’s Zen Meditation & Study group will begin its summer book on May 26, taking up Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We’re in without Going Crazy, by Joanna Macy & Chris Johnstone. The book, published in 2012, focuses on climate activism and how to undertake the kind of personal and collective transition that is equally relevant in the midst of this pandemic.
All interested are invited to join via Zoom on Tuesdays and Fridays each week, from 10 a.m. to noon. Drop in attendance is welcome; having the book in hand is optional. The group begins with silent meditation for the first hour, takes a short break, and returns for check-in and book discussion in the second hour. At each meeting, participants read a portion of the book and then share personal reflections on what’s been said. Question? Contact Janine Larsen.
