Science Book Group
Tuesday, November 12, 7 p.m. at Susan’s house
We will be wrapping up our discussion of The Language Instinct: How the Mind Creates Language by Steven Pinker, covering chapters 10-13.
Because the church is not yet available, we will meet at Susan’s: 12732 Phinney Ave N.
At our next meeting on Tuesday, November 26, we will begin discussion our our next book, Jonathan Balcombe’s Pleasurable Kingdom: Animals and the Nature of Feeling Good (for November 26 and December 10), and the book after that will be Marcus Du Sautoy’s Symmetry: A Journey Into the Patterns of Nature (starting on January 14). We will plan on reading Wilding: Returning Nature to Our Farm by Isabella Tree later in the spring, when the waiting list at the library isn’t quite so long.
We meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. All are welcome to come and enjoy the discussion even if you haven’t done the reading.
