The Power of Planning

How to Take Control of the Journey We Call “Aging”

Thursday, November 1, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Mirabella

If you are planning your own journey into aging, or helping parents or loved ones with their plan, what are the questions to ask? How can you find the answers that are right for you if you don’t know the questions? How much does long-term care cost? What can I do now? How do I tell the difference between routine forgetfulness and the beginning of serious memory issues?

Begin to learn the answers to these and other questions on November 1 at the kick-off of a speaker series sponsored by the Stewardship Committee and hosted by Camilla’s Circle, our church’s bequest society. Established in 1997 to honor and thank members and friends who have included UUC in their will or estate plan, Camilla’s Circle was named to celebrate the life and legacy of long-time member, Camilla Knatvold.

The keynote speaker will be Lisa Mayfield, a Mental Health Counselor and Geriatric Mental Health Specialist with over two decades of experience. Lisa is also the founder of Aging Wisdom, an Aging Life Care consulting, care management, and creative engagement practice.

Date and time: November 1, 2018; 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Mirabella Retirement Community, 116 Fairview Ave N
Refreshments: A light lunch will be served
