Seabeck Multi-Age UU Memorial Day Weekend Retreat

May 25-28 at the Seabeck Conference Center on Hood Canal

For more than 30 years, the East Shore and University Unitarian Churches have come together on Memorial Day for an all-ages weekend of fellowship at Seabeck Conference Center on Hood Canal. Part retreat and part social event, Seabeck puts a uniquely Unitarian Universalist spin on the American custom of “church camp,” providing three days of fun, friendship, relaxation, and revitalization for Unitarians of all ages. Bring the family, come solo, meet up with old friends and get acquainted with new ones! Programs and workshops for all ages are offered.

During the weekend, an optional two-day workshop will be run by Guy Nelson who is a well-known long-time radio host on KUOW-NPR. He’s also a professional actor and musician, and he travels around the world training people and organizations in communication and creativity.

At Seabeck he’ll lead groups in a series of improvisational games that are designed to deepen our connection to others, raise our self-awareness, and tap into our latent creativity. We’ll tell stories that build our community and envision our future. And most of all, we’ll laugh, play and have fun together.
