In keeping with the UU seventh principle (respect for the interdependent web of all existence) the Green Sanctuary committee has launched a formal online rideshare program.

One of the most effective ways to reduce your carbon footprint is to carpool to and from church and church activities. You can participate by joining the rideshare website.

Even if you don’t intend to rideshare to Sunday service, there may be occasions when you want to rideshare to church events held at other locations - Green Sanctuary field trips and events, evening events at church, legislative lobbying days in Olympia, neighborhood cluster potlucks, etc.

So why carpool?

• It reduces your carbon footprint.
• Gas is expensive.
• It reduces wear and tear on cars.
• Provides an opportunity to socialize with your “carmate.”
• It helps you and helps others.
