Administration

University Unitarian Church has always been a magnet for passionate, principled, and talented individuals. This phenomenon shows in the life of our congregation as well as the work of our administration: our staff, volunteers, and lay leaders. We are fortunate to have an administration at UUC that so ably matches the needs and interests of our entire church community.

Typical of all Unitarian Universalist churches, UUC maintains a congregational polity. This means that the congregation, in quorum, meets to hear and vote on changes to the bylaws, the acceptance of ministers, the election of the board, and other matters.

The board, by representation of the congregation, guides and defines the direction of UUC's goals and oversees the organization by regular monitoring and policy setting. The staff, led by the senior minister, carries out the work of the church in concert with our many dedicated volunteers.

Together, all of us make the work of UUC possible. Feel free to explore these pages to meet and contact the people behind the staff and elected positions at the church, and to find out more about our approach to effective governance.
