We hold two Sunday services from mid-September to June, at 9:30AM and 11:15AM. During the summer months, there is one service at 10:00AM. Please see the Home Page [0] for details of upcoming services.
Just before the services is a busy and fun time – parents taking children to their church school classes, members greeting newcomers and old friends, many gathering in Nathan Johnson Hall for a quick coffee and chat.
A beautiful bell rings in the beginning of the service, and we light the chalice – a symbol of the Unitarian Universalist faith. We share readings, prayer and meditation, announcements, sermons, lay testaments, and more.
Services are filled with music—hymns sung by the congregation and perhaps a performance by the Loft Choir, Intergenerational Choir, or Handbell Choir [0]. The church often rings with vocal solos, accompanied by piano or organ.
Monthly art exhibits feature local established and emerging artists in the church's Gilmartin Gallery and the chapel.
After the service, church members, friends, and visitors gather in Nathan Johnson Hall for fellowship during coffee hour.
Children and Youth Church School
From mid-September to June, church school and infant/toddler care are in full swing. During the summer, we offer children's activities and childcare, but no formal curriculum. Please visit the church school office downstairs for more information or to register your child or children.

A presentation of a large choral work with orchestra in both spring and autumn
Christmas services
- Family worship service
- Candlelit Christmas Eve service
- The popular Messiah Sing-And-Play-Along [0], a community event that draws singers and instrumentalists from throughout the region
Maundy Thursday
A special service in the week prior to Easter, with communion and quiet reflection
Spring services led by youth
- Our high school youth lead a service that includes music and often a clever and eye-opening activity, as well as the wisdom of youth.
- The Coming-of-Age ceremony is a surprising and inspiring service led by youth returning from their retreat.
Flower communion in late spring
Everyone brings a flower to share. We honor our graduates, dedicate our children, and thank our church school teachers. It’s a busy and fun-filled service!

Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS)
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) is a gathering of practitioners of liberal religion, Unitarian Universalist pagans, and witches. The annual calendar includes the solar and earth holidays, discussion groups, classes, and business meetings. All rituals and classes are open to the public and are held at the church unless otherwise noted. Events are listed in the church's bi-weekly newsletter, The Gateway.
