“The great end in religious instruction is not to stamp our minds upon the young, but to stir up their own; not to make them see with our eyes, but to look inquiringly and steadily with their own; not to give them a definite amount of knowledge, but to inspire a fervent love of truth....”
Reverend William Ellery Channing
Unitarian minister and author, 1780-1842

Our Whole Lives (OWL) – Comprehensive sexuality education program offered to 8th grade youth to help them develop healthy, loving, just relationships with themselves and others. It provides factual, scientific, age-appropriate information and encouragement for youths to help them make informed decisions based on their own values. This year's full-year format will allow the instructors to spend more time encouraging the youth's sense of spiritual depth and connection through additions to lessons, spending time in the service in the Sanctuary and activities to bond as a class group. Specially trained class leaders serve as teachers.
