Welcome to University Unitarian Church! Members and friends come together in congregation at University Unitarian Church for services on Sundays and for a wide variety of activities throughout the week.
At UUC, people share liberal religious ideas in the spirit of fellowship and express those beliefs by how we act in the world. Together we worship, encourage spiritual growth, participate in social and community action, care for one another, enjoy our differences, celebrate music and art, and nurture our children's religious growth. Walk into the church almost any evening, and you will find it alive with activity.
UUC is the largest Unitarian Universalist church in the Puget Sound area. It continues to grow and to thrive, with nearly 700 adult members and a church school of 350 children.
It is our hope that UUC awakens its members to the personal or spiritual growth they seek, and inspires them to return the gifts of their transformation to UUC and their communities. We all contribute to create a place where:
- People feel welcomed into a caring church community.
- People feel at peace and hopeful, and share those feelings with their families and the world.
- People feel inspired to see, hear, and think in ways that deepen our understanding and expand our vision.
- People feel strong enough in heart and mind to face the challenges they may encounter in life, and look to others for strength when they need it most.
- People feel helpful to others in our community and beyond, sharing their energies and resources freely and in love, in living witness to our shared values.
- People feel grateful for the deep liberal religious legacy of Unitarian Universalism and the promise of its principles.
UUC members and friends are diverse and unique, each as individuals. We work together making connections with each other and with our community and world.
