On Sunday, March 14, our congregation will be celebrating Jon's 10th anniversary at University Unitarian Church with two very special morning services at 9:30 and 11:15 am and an all-church reception for Jon between services, beginning at 10:30 am. We would like to encourage all members who are able to attend to join us and share their appreciation for Jon at one of these services and the reception. In honor of Jon, our Sunday collection on this anniversary day will be on behalf of Sound Alliance, an organization Jon and so many of our members support with great enthusiasm.

In the spirit of the early American Amish and Quaker communities that inspire Jon and that he often holds up to us as inspiration for our own community, we will be hosting a heartfelt and homespun potluck dinner in the chapel at 6:00pm Sunday evening. We will honor Jon's anniversary with stories, song, and celebration, looking back on the wonderful gifts Jon has shared with us over the past ten years and looking forward to many more. Please plan to stop by the planning table after Sunday services to sign up for potluck items and volunteer opportunities, and to offer donations (suggested $10 for 10 years) to help cover the costs of this fun event.

Childcare will be provided Sunday evening. While children are welcome at the event, if you would prefer to use childcare at the church, please notify Beth Herrild or 206-525-8400 x13 with the number of children and their ages.
