University Unitarian offers a rich music program with opportunities for singers and instrumentalists. Music is a vital part of our worship and church activities.
The music for the worship services varies throughout the year, with programs featuring our three choirs, vocal and instrumental soloists, and compositions ranging from classical to world music.
Twice yearly, we celebrate UUC Music Sunday, a concert-style service featuring major choral works with orchestra. Past Music Sunday services have included J.S. Bach’s Mass in B Minor, Magnificat, and Christmas Oratorio; Mozart’s Requiem and Mass in C minor; Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem; Amy Beach’s Mass in E minor; Fauré’s Requiem; and Britten’s St. Nicholas. These well-attended programs are favorites of the congregation and community.
