Whether you are entirely new to this faith or transferring from another Unitarian Universalist church, we want you to have a basic grounding in:

• Unitarian Universalism - its principles, purposes, history, and traditions
• University Unitarian Church – its history, priorities, programs, and community
• What it means to be a member – the joys and responsibilities of such a commitment

To help provide such a foundation for prospective members, our Membership Exploration and Integration team (MEI team) offers two different classes.

Membership Information Forum

This is a single session, 2½ hours in length, that introduces UUC, its programs, and what membership means. It also provides an overview of the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition and history.

Attend this class if you:

• Want basic information about Unitarian Universalism, University Unitarian Church, and membership, or
• Are certain that UU and UUC are the right match for you, or
• Are transferring from another UU community or congregation.

Upcoming membership information forums will be held on Sundays from 1:00-3:30PM, on the following dates:

• January 13, 2008
• February 10, 2008
• March 9, 2008
• April 6, 2008 (Note: Changed from April 13, 2008)
• May 4, 2008

Membership Exploration Series

This five-session series is a small group forum that is both exploratory and interactive. Classes run for five weeks.

• Sessions are facilitated by an MEI team member who provides information and readings, and suggests activities and questions for reflection.
• Our ministers and other church members attend throughout the series to share their UUC experiences, perspectives, and knowledge.
• Participants share their thinking, personal stories, questions, and hopes in small group discussion.

This series will probably appeal to you if you prefer a deeper exploration into whether Unitarian Universalism and University Unitarian Church would be good match for you as a spiritual home and community.

Dates for a spring 2008 membership exploration series are being identified, and will be announced. If you are interested in this series and want to be notified of its schedule, contact the church office. If you have questions about UUC and/or membership while you are waiting for the exploration series to be offered, consider attending one of the membership information forums. How to Sign Up

The process of signing up for the single-session forum and the five-class series is the same.

• Childcare can be arranged if requested in advance (10-day advance notice preferred).
• There is no cost to participants.
