Join in the ritual of a potluck dinner. Bring food and drinks to share. We'll learn about various rituals that we've experienced in our own families, share ideas for new rituals, and create some of our own. Come to all or one session. All types, sizes and ages of families are welcome - even if you are "just one person." Child care will be provided for the younger children who want to play and/or relax after the ritual of "dinner with the family." | ||

This class will acquaint persons with the founding and developing beliefs of Unitarians and Universalists. Particular attention will be given to their history in the United States since the late 1700s. The course may serve as a panorama of beliefs in which individuals may find both grounding and encouragement for their own personal religious/spiritual core. Learning about the historical development of these two faith traditions may also induce a sense of appreciation about the accomplishments and current challenges of Unitarian Universalism. This committee of the Board of Trustee meets in a monthly advisory
session with the Business Manager to establish and review personnel
procedures, staffing levels, and job descriptions. They review salary
recommendations to be taken to the Finance Committee for consideration
for annual budgets. If grievances are lodged by staff or volunteers,
the Committee would review these for compliance with policy and
procedure. | ||

April 3rd and 4th, University Unitarian Church in Seattle invites you to a dramatic two-part program that explores how to care for ourselves as we walk with those who are facing death, and what we all might learn from that journey. Friday evening: Megan Cole, actress, presents “The Wisdom of Wit” a solo version of Margaret Edson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Wit.” This play tells the funny and heart-wrenching story of a brilliant scholar whose battle with ovarian cancer brings her to a new understandingof what it means to be human. Her story explores finding support when faced with disease, discovering the importance of family and friends, and coming to terms with her own journey through life.

April 23 UU Humanists Meeting Why Religious Humanism? Unitarian Humanists are identified as religious rather than secular. Gloria Hariharan, leader of the Eastside Atheist/Agnostic Meetup Group will discuss this topic and talk about the contributions of Felix Adler to the Humanist movement in the United States.
