UUC's ARE program is co-sponsoring a reading at Elliott Bay Books featuring UU minister and author, Kate Braestrup. Kate will read from her remarkable book, Here if You Need Me. The book chronicles Kate's journey from the mother of an intact family through her husbenad's sudden death, and then to fulfill what was originally her husband's dream of becoming an UU minister.

The book has been selected a a top 10 non-fiction choice of 2007 by Time Magazine.

Kate will also be in the UUC pulpit on Sunday July 20.

The Youth and Young Adults are sponsoring a knitting project with the goal of creating a quilt for the church auction. Join us any time from 10 am - 1 pm in the Howe room. Knitting aficionados especially desired, but everyone is welcome, including beginners. This is the first Young Adult (18-35 years old) community service project in a series honoring the 7 UU Principles.
