Melody Moberg has joined UUC as the new Lifespan Children's Programs Coordinator!

We are pleased to announce that Melody Moberg recently joined us as the new Lifespan Children’s Programs Coordinator!  Melody is from Wisconsin, where her home congregation, the First UU Church of Wausau, nurtured her life-long passion for Unitarian Universalism, social justice and comparative religious study.

Melody was deeply involved with UU campus ministry at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, where she graduated with a degree in religious studies and English. She spent the last few years volunteering, caring for developmentally disabled adults in agricultural intentional communities in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, and volunteering at a UU retreat and learning center in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Melody loves writing poetry, exploring all things related to food and food politics, and composing sermons. Her “Mindful Eating,” first delivered at the UU Church of Wausau and then again at the UU Fellowship of Pottstown, PA, won the 2011 UUA Social Witness Sermon Contest in the subject of “Ethical Eating.” Melody is thrilled to be here!
