UUC is able to make these grants and gifts to social justice cause through the support of our members - and it doesn’t necessarily need to cost you anything. 

PCC Scrip Cards:  When you obtain and use a re-loadable PCC scrip card, UUC receives a 5% rebate from all of your PCC purchases, to be used for our social justice outreach. Here’s how it works:

• Purchase a card pre-loaded with $50 from UUC.
• Use the card to buy your groceries at PCC.
• Whenever your card balance gets drawn down, you just re-load it at the PCC checkout using a debit card (strongly preferred, as the fees are lower) or credit card.

As soon as you load the card, UUC gets a rebate of 5% of that amount. They send UUC the rebate checks twice a year.

Employer gift match: Does your employer have a program to match charitable gifts? Because UUC has a restricted fund that is used only to fund social justice organizations outside the church – and not for religious purposes – UUC is eligible for some employer gift match programs. We are already approved for Microsoft. If your employer has a gift match program, you may be able to have your annual church pledge matched, and your employer’s contribution would go to our social justice outreach.

Unrestricted gifts or bequests are also welcome. They should be directed to UUC’s Living Justice Fund, which is our restricted fund for social justice work outside the church.
