Wednesday Forum – January 9

Wednesday, January 9, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Magnuson Brig Garden Room

As a continuation of our focus on issues in the Middle East, three UU’s report on their pilgrimage to Israel/Palestine. For two weeks in September, Judy Bedell, Valerie Kreutzer and Babs Selig crisscrossed the land and met with Christians, Muslims, and Jews in solidarity with Palestinians. They sipped tea in a Bedouin village about to be bulldozed to make room for more illegal settlements; they walked with farmers who protested nonviolently against the wall that separated them from their olive groves; and they heard an archbishop’s stories of persecution and forgiveness.

Bring your lunch and/or snack and beverage.

The Brig is located at 6344 NE 74th St (Bldg 460) in Magnuson Park. It is just off Sand Point Way, the third turn to the left after you enter by the guard house – there is a sign that points in its direction. There is a large free parking lot at the north side of the building and you can enter from the parking lot. Signs are posted on the Garden Room.

The Forum is sponsored by UUC and the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department.
