New UUC Staff Member

Aria Curtis, Elementary Program Coordinator, starting mid-August

Aria Curtis

University Unitarian Church is delighted to announce that Aria Curtis will join Director of Religious Education Melody Moberg on the religious education team mid-August as our new Elementary Program Coordinator.

Our current Education Program Coordinator, Justin Almeida, is wrapping up his time on staff. Mid-August, Justin will complete his Master of Divinity and begin work as a chaplain at the Veteran’s Administration. Justin will remain an active member of University Unitarian Church, and plans to teach Wellspring and youth group beginning in the fall.

Aria Curtis found her passion for faith development and family ministry at the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship as an Our Whole Lives Facilitator and as a preschool teacher for the Bellingham Cooperative School. Aria received her BA in German Studies from Western Washington University, and before coming to UUC she served as the Director of Children and Family Ministry at the UU Church of Spokane. She enjoys baking, contra and square dancing, and embroidery.
