National Vigil to End Detention: Lights of Liberty

Friday, July 12, 7 p.m. in Occidental Park, Pioneer Square in Seattle

Lights for Liberty - July 12, 2019

A coalition of national and regional organizations is partnering with local communities and organizations to speak up to protect human rights, and to speak out against the human detention camps at the border and in cities around the U.S. Join UUC’s Immigrant Justice Team at the Seattle Vigil next Friday. “Lights for Liberty” will shine a light on the horrific abuses of the Trump administration. People will begin arriving at 7 p.m. at locations around the nation. At 9 p.m., a silent sea of candles will light up the nation.

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee is one of the national sponsors. Choose to show up for the 1st principle, affirm the 2nd principle or hold the 6th principle.

Locally hosted by the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) and Seattle Indivisible.
