Join members of UUC’s Economic Justice Team as Naomi Klein and Teresa Mosqueda discuss Klein’s new book, On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal. Naomi Klein is an award-winning journalist, syndicated columnist, and author of bestselling books. Teresa Mosqueda is a Seattle City Council member; prior to her election she was a labor activist.
Klein’s book investigates our modern climate crisis not only as a profound political challenge but as a spiritual and imaginative one. It explores “…economies built both to protect and to regenerate the planet’s life support system and to respect and sustain the people who depend on them.”
