Follow-Up to Racial Justice Sunday
How Are We Called?
UUC members and friends gathered with UUC’s Racial Justice Team on August 5th for an inspirational, community-building, and interactive Racial Justice Sunday. With story, music, and table discussion, we explored how we, as Unitarian Universalists, are called to practice racial justice, and how our faith enhances our racial justice efforts.
Three of the resources from that morning are now available online: the slide presentation, with links to songs and Brittany Packnett’s Ware lecture at the 2018 UUA General Assembly; a resource list for further reading, reflection and action; and “Undoing White Supremacy” the 2018-2022 Congregational Study/Action issue approved by delegates to this year’s UUA General Assembly.
The Racial Justice Team includes members and friends of UUC who work together as a core group to commit to ongoing learning and engage in planning education and action events. To learn more about the team or what is involved in being a member, contact one of the co-chairs, Roberta Ray or Betty Williams. We welcome your interest!
