Bystander Intervention Training, Sept 30

Not sure what to do when someone is being harassed at the bus stop? Want to increase your comfort and competence in helping out when someone is being targeted because of race, immigration status, or religion?
Goals for this training include:
- Raise awareness of helping behaviors
- Increase one’s motivation to help
- Develop skills and confidence when responding to problems or concerns\
- Ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
To register, email your name and list UUC as your congregation to Bystanderucucc@gmail.com. Priority is given to congregations, like UUC, involved in the U-District Rapid Response & Sanctuary Hub.

The Seattle branch of an international grassroots volunteer organization known as The Initiative Collective, the Washington Initiative seeks to engage everyday citizens in addressing community issues.
