Rise Up Rooted – A New Group for UU Activists

Do you sometimes wonder, “where are the activists who can support me as an activist?”

Be part of Rise Up Rooted, a new group at UUC created to support, explore, and nurture your activist’s heart and soul. We will drink from the well of spiritual nourishment through movement, artistic expression, song, poetry and other practices that involve our whole bodies and spirits to help us go back out into the world feeling witnessed, invigorated, and ready to continue our purposeful action.  For more information, to register, or to find a printable flyer, go to the Rise Up Rooted information page.

The group will meet monthly, 1pm -4pm, starting October 22. Childcare is available if reserved at least 10 days in advance. UUs from other congregations are welcome to attend. So that the facilitators can be sure to have enough materials available for everyone, we do ask each participant to register in advance for each month you plan to attend.

Facilitators for this group are Victoria Poling, UU seminarian and experiential educator, and Becca Fishaut, therapist, activist and UUC member.
